Learning takes place everywhere students spend time at school and a variety of carefully planned special event activities compliment their academic experiences. In addition to the ongoing opportunities to participate in Special Olympics, Special Special Olympics, aquatics, therapeutic horseback riding, chorus, and rock band, to name a few, other out- of- class activities enrich ACCEL's functional curriculum. These activities are designed to enhance a student’s educational experience, as well as to foster social skills and self-esteem.
