Fundraising
The Development Office supports the following fundraising programs:
- Annual Appeal
The Annual Appeal is sent by mail in November. We ask for unrestricted donations and use those donations to sustain daily activities of ACCEL.
- 50/50 Raffle
As part of our 30th Anniversary celebration, we are holding our first ever 50/50 Raffle. The grand prize is cash of up to $10,000. You may purchase or sell tickets at $25 each or 5 for $100.
- Matching Gifts
Many employers match, dollar for dollar, the donations their employees make to charity. If your employer has a Matching Gifts program, see your Human Resources department about doubling your donation to ACCEL.
- Mardi Gras Gala and Golf Tournament ‘fore’ Special Kids
This annual event raises substantial money for ACCEL. Funds raised are used in building projects, campus enhancements, technology and professional development at ACCEL. Sponsorships, auction item donations, advertising, and ticket sales are ways you can participate.
- Grants
Corporations and foundations provide grants for programs such as Literacy, School-to-Work Job Training Program, and Assistive Technology and others that are special areas of interest to them.
- In-Kind Donations
In-kind donations cover goods, services, and expertise. Gifts range from sporting goods equipment, to man-hours to lay computer cable, to marketing advice.
- Buy a Brick
Create a lasting tribute to someone you love by having a brick installed either at the Metro Campus or East Campus.
