ACCEL (Arizona Centers for Comprehensive Education and Life Skills) a private, nonprofit special education day school providing innovative, individualized, and comprehensive educational services to students, ages 3-21, with a wide range of abilities and challenges including cognitive, emotional, physical and health impairments including developmental disabilities such as autism and severe learning disabilities.
ACCEL also operates Michael’s Garden, a vocational program training special needs adults, ages 18 and older, in creative, enterprise based businesses such as hat making, screen printing and a coffee shop.
The BISTÅ Autism Center provides help to families and other organizations in obtaining the skills necessary to enrich individual lives through behavioral therapy. BISTÅ (Behavioral Interventions, Support, Treatment and Assessment) is a Swedish word that means help or assist. This is the primary function of the BISTÅ Autism Center. Through evidence-based clinical and home-based behavioral services, we help individuals with Autism realize their potential.
